Hi there, I’m Ben! I am a Graphic Designer based in Herne Bay, Kent, where I live with my wife. I’ve always been a creative type and have always known I wanted a career in the arts but it was only when I went off to University that I found my love for design. I studied Digital Arts (BA) at the University of Kent, a degree I chose for its breadth of content, with the hope that I’d find for myself a way in which I could turn my passion for the arts into a profession.

 

Whilst studying my degree I had the opportunity to explore a wide selection of mediums, including Photography, Visual Effects and compositing, Web design, Video Game Development, Coding and of course Graphic Design. I loved having the opportunity to try my hand at a range of endeavours, eventually deciding that Graphic Design was what I wanted to pursue as I found real satisfaction in creating visually engaging and well formatted designs. Not only did my degree set me on my path as a designer but it also gave me a foundation of knowledge over a range of digital mediums that have proved incredibly useful.

 

I have since gone on to become the in-house Graphic Designer for the biggest motorcycle dealership group in the South East of England, working with the biggest names in the motorcycle industry including Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Triumph and Honda. Alongside this I have enjoyed taking on the odd freelance design job and enjoy keeping my artistic spirit alive with my own personal projects.

I am keen to explore new ventures to expand my creative skillset and grow as a designer, and am excited to see where my design career will lead me.
